  I have given this feedback to the cafe but would still like to warn others. First let me say the staff were great no complaint there. My issue is that despite advertising online that they close at 9.30pm on Saturdays they obviously choose to close whenever it suits them. I arrived (four of us) there at 7.55pm to be told we had 5 mins to order before the kitchen closed. To add insult to injury at 8.25 we were told we had to order a coffee now as they were closing off the cash register. The staff were apologetic but then began putting the tables away making it very uncomfortable for us to remain. I said nothing on the night as my wife and I were guests of our neighbour. One further dissapointnent which is why I have given this experience such a low rating was because the chicken schnitzel with fries and salad was a poor showing for $29.50. It appeared to be a frozen processed bread crumbed chicken fillet with a very stingy serving of shoestring fries and a salad that consisted of three ingredients lettuce some half cherry tomatoes and a handful of cucumber pieces. To me it was more akin to a $15-$18 menu item and I did feel somewhat misled in that it was no more than a normal chicken parmigiana (An italian-American dish) when I fully expected some sort of German flavour to it. To their credit the person I spoke to today was apologetic and appeared to appreciate my feedback. Unfortunately this is not my first experience on the Coast of hospitality businesses employing arbitrary closing times which is such a shame given the importance of tourism and the complaints we often hear from the same businesses about how they struggle, staying open to the advertising closing time might just help.

  Great feed, lovely restaurant and friendly attentive staff. We went for the Oktoberfest platter which was more than enough to feed 2. Good bottled beer to go with it too. The only thing that could have been better was the pretzel which was quite hard and a little tough. I actually don't know if that's normal or not but I know the Bavarian Bier Cafe chain do very fresh and fluffy ones with more rock salt on them. Minor thing! Certainly did not spoil our meal. We will be back

  Pork medallions, pork belly and apple strudel . Scrumptious meal for two. Pricing very reasonable. Staff and owner manageress very friendly and accommodating. Recommend. If your in Mooloolaba

  Excellent views, superb desserts, great coffee & lovely staff make this my favourite cafe at Mooloolaba.

  Excellent service! Thomas advised us of the unusually long wait time, which wasn't that long, but very thoughtful of him to mention it. Food was fantastic. Ample serving and definitely fresh. Really nice coffee too. Thank you!
